Message from Bob

Bob Dolman har åkt mellan LA och Stockholm regelbundet under det senaste året! Han har hunnit hålla 12 workshops hos oss nu och det är många manusförfattare, skådespelare och regissörer i den gruppen som han arbetat med regelbundet under den tiden. Han kommer tillbaka i november och håller två workshops. Och innan dess kan man arbeta med honom i studion via Skype.

Här är ett litet meddelande från Bob om det han gör hos oss:

Hi everybody. I'm teaching two workshops at Cinemantrix in November. One is sold out but the other has spaces left. It's from Nov 17 - 19 plus one bonus night on Nov 22.

The workshop is will focus on the Screenplay as a tool for writers, directors and actors. Yes, we will be writing but also rehearsing written scenes so that all of us will deepen our understanding of how, through the Screenplay, the collaboration of filmmaking happens.

Writers will have opportunities to see their written scenes directed and performed. Actors will get to work with writers, influencing revisions, finding out why a writer created a scene or a moment or a line, and teaming up with directors as well.

And I'm bringing in some things I haven't taught before. Like the difference between action and dialogue. And the importance of uniting your story through situation. And making difficulty serve your creativity in a fun and easy way.

In filmmaking, you may specialize in one thing, like acting or writing, but the more you learn about every department in a movie production, the better at your specialty you'll become.

That's the idea behind this workshop. You will learn from me but also from one another.
